Justin is proud to support professional rodeo athletes through the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund (JCCF).
The holidays are the perfect time to reflect on life’s many blessings while gathering with loved ones. This season, the Justin Boots family is celebrating the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund ® (JCCF). Over the last three decades the fund has distributed over $9.3 million — every penny of which has gone directly to injured rodeo athletes and their families.
Justin is proud to support professional rodeo athletes who give their all in the arena. When injury strikes and they are unable to ride, these cowboys and cowgirls are often left without a guaranteed salary. Because Justin and the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) underwrite all JCCF operational expenses, 100% of all donations go directly to injured athletes and their families so they can focus on recovering to top competitive form.
“I can’t thank them (JCCF) enough, they helped me afford to stay home and focus on my rehab programs until I was healthy enough to start entering again once my doctor released me,” says Leighton Berry after a serious back injury at the Sandhills Stock Show & Rodeo in Odessa, Texas.
It all started in 1989 when John Justin and 16-time World Champion Jim Shoulders were discussing the risks associated with rodeoing. The fund was formed in partnership with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA). Since that day, Justin Boots is humbled by the fund’s continued success and the impact it has had on the rodeo industry, thanks to its generous community of supporters.
"With your guys’ help we are able to focus on whatever it is to get ourselves healthy once again all while reducing the financial stress that comes along with the amount of time needed to get back to work and doing what we all love so much." – Nate Jestes, PRCA Bullfighter
The character of the Western industry truly shines in its dedication to supporting one another. When faced with adversity, a cowboy or cowgirl is never left to stand alone. No matter the circumstances, our community is quick to rally together to support a family in need. This character has been passed from one generation to the next, carrying on our legacy. It is the lifeblood of the western way of life and what makes this community one of a kind.
This holiday season, Justin Boots encourages you to lend a helping hand by donating to the JCCF. If you would like to contribute, 100% of your generous donation will directly support injured rodeo athletes and their families.
